The Mermaid And The Sea Ring features a masterfully hand-carved and painted mermaid's tail with her treasured cherries and cherry blossoms. The mermaid is afraid to leave the sea in search of her favourite fruit without taking the waves with her. A small drawer pulls out to reveal hand-painted enamel waves. The crystal is backed with green turquoise, and is set 18k rose gold. The reverse of the ring is decorated with a hand-painted cherry blossom.

I created this crystal in collaboration with a pair of master carvers I discovered in Germany. A cabochon rock crystal is hand-carved on the reverse side and hand-painted with fine single-hair brushes.
